Fostering a partnership designed to drive research forward

CIMA-Q works to advance understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and detect its early signs to enable earlier intervention.

Fondation Famille Lemaire has played a pivotal role in the Consortium’s development since 2020 and, with this renewed gift, continues to strengthen a strategic partnership that directly supports research and delivers meaningful progress for seniors and their families.

“The support we’ve received will enable us to do more to identify the early signs of the disease and develop approaches that better meet the needs of seniors. It is a critical catalyst for accelerating our work and disseminating our findings.”
—Dr. Frédéric Calon, Director, CIMA-Q, Université Laval

Investing in future researchers and knowledge sharing

Support from Fondation Famille Lemaire helps train the next generation of researchers by providing scholarships for students and postdoctoral fellows.

It also helps make research knowledge available to both the scientific community and the public, fostering a greater understanding of the challenges related to aging and Alzheimer’s disease.

Making a difference, now and in the future

By renewing its commitment, Fondation Famille Lemaire is making a tangible contribution to advancing research and bringing new hope to those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

“We are deeply touched by the trust that the Lemaire family has placed in our experts and our Foundation to carry out their philanthropic vision. Their continued support makes long-term patient follow-up possible—and that’s central to the discoveries ahead. We commend the Lemaire family for their vision and are sincerely grateful for their steadfast dedication.”
