Ways to give
Seniors are at the heart of the Foundation’s mission. Nothing is more important than offering them high-quality care at the time they need it most, supporting research likely to improve preventive measures and treatments, and improving their well-being.

In Memoriam donation
Choose this type of donation to show your sympathy to the family and loved ones of someone who has passed away.
Monthly giving
With this type of donation, you provide ongoing support of healthcare quality and research at the Institut de gériatrie de Montréal. This offers several advantages to the Foundation, including allowing us to better plan activities and reduce administrative costs.
Legacy gift
Donating through your will, a legacy gift, is the most common kind of planned giving. A will, preferably done with a notary, is easy to prepare, simple to manage and guarantees your property will be distributed exactly as you wish.
Donating life insurance
A life insurance donation can transform a small contribution into a major donation. A number of simple and interesting options are available to you.
Donate shares
Make a donation of shares, bonds or mutual funds and take advantage of major tax benefits. There’ll be no capital gains tax and you’ll get a receipt equivalent to the market value minus transaction fees.
Donate real property
Donating a home or land lets you immediately benefit from tax credits related to the donation. Call us now to discuss.
In-kind donation
The in-kind donation consists of giving a tangible item to FIGM, based on assets other than cash. An in-kind donation can include gifts of capital property, listed personal property (artwork, rare books, wine cellars, etc.) or securities. Call us now to discuss.
Endowment fund
An endowment is a donation invested so as to produce funds in perpetuity for a particular need.
